GROUP TRAINING
For steadier dogs ready for additional distractions
Join our group training sessions all led by Roger. These sessions are held near Gloucestershire. Catering to working dogs, providing specialised training experiences for each breed.
Experience simulated shooting days where your handling skills are put to the test in a relaxed and friendly environment with fellow dog enthusiasts. Give your dog the opportunity to hunt and retrieve, including in water and woodland – a great way of strengthening the partnership between you both!

Unlike many trainers who rely on public areas, Dovesflight operates from a dedicated private training premises just five minutes from Junction 13 of the M5.
We provide a fully secure, controlled environment that perfectly mimics the real world. Our grounds feature pathways, open spaces, natural wildlife, and everyday distractions. This allows us to train your dog for real-world scenarios, safely.
A unique benefit of training at Dovesflight is access to Roger’s own highly trained pack of 12 dogs. When appropriate, clients can safely socialise their dogs within this stable pack to test their focus, improve manners, and correct behavioural issues in a highly controlled setting.

Roger’s career spans 40 years, taking him from gamekeeping in the UK to managing large packs of dogs as a Kennelman in New Zealand. Working with packs day in and day out gave him a masterclass in canine psychology, teaching him exactly how to navigate complex behaviours, resolve conflict, and bring out the best in every dog.
A highly respected face in the field trial world, Roger has competed at the highest levels, including qualifying for the Cocker Spaniel Championships at Sandringham Estate. Today, he manages his own pack of 12 highly trained Spaniels and Labradors.
Roger applies the exact same principles of calmness, leadership, and clear communication used to train elite gundogs to help everyday families stop their pets from pulling on the lead or reacting to other dogs. He is an approachable, highly knowledgeable expert who is deeply committed to helping you and your dog succeed.
